Due to licensing laws: A patient MUST be in the state of Virginia during a virtual appointment.
There is no substitute for an in-person appointment. Fortunately, as we all respect the reality of the COVID-19 Pandemic, virtual appointments have become an effective, accurate and time saving means of providing and receiving healthcare.
Both my patients and I have enjoyed the convenience and safety of telemedicine. In my practice, I will continue to conduct virtual appointments on a frequent and regular basis. They are easy to add-in and require no travel time.
Virtual appointments: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
Virtual appointments can even be performed the day of or after your call.
Virtual appointment protocol:
The morning of your appointment please obtain your vital signs (as many as possible):
- Height,
- Weight (if you are not a patient with an eating disorder, but please provide if you know),
- Blood Pressure,
- Pulse (also known as Heart Rate),
- Temperature
Fifteen minutes prior to your appointment, you will receive a call from our Medical Assistant, Roz.
Together you will review:
- your vitals listed above,
- your medications,
- any personal or family history that requires updating, and
- the reason for your visit.
At the time of your appointment, you will receive a text on your cell phone with a link that you may e-mail to yourself if you wish to use a larger devise such as a laptop.
Follow the prompts by tapping ‘allow’ to all questions asked and your real-time video appointment with Dr. Gorrelick will begin.
